“DP Opticians offers big results in a small village”
Did you know that early detection of certain eye conditions can lead to more effective treatment? In some cases, eye diseases can even be prevented. This is why in Scotland the NHS recommend (and fund) your regular eye examination. For most people this will be every two years, but for youngsters (under 16) and those over 60, a yearly test is advised. This applies to all UK residents even those who may only be visiting the area.
It is all very well telling you to have your eyes checked, but what does an examination at DP Opticians involve?
The Dean-Perrin family are warm, friendly people who will make you feel welcome when you arrive for your eye examination. While you wait to see the optician, you will be asked a few questions regarding your eye and general health. These questions are nothing to worry about, they will simply enable the optician to deliver a more thorough and personal exam.
Your examination will be carried out by John – a fully qualified optometrist – using the latest and most advanced technology. This means that the results you receive will be extremely accurate and delivered by an optical expert.
Your examination will last between 30-45 minutes depending on the necessary tests. John believes that the care of your eyes is vitally important and the examination should not be rushed. John is always happy to answer any questions you may have at any time.
Once your vision test is complete, you will handed over to either Deni or Jodie who make up the dispensing team. They both have a wealth of experience when it comes to helping patients choose the perfect frame, so don’t be afraid to ask for an opinion.
If you would like to speak to someone about an alternative type of eyewear such as contact lenses or sports protection please ask. John is a contact lens specialist, and each member of the team will be able to provide you with the most beneficial sports eyewear for you.
